Sixteen years ago, I clicked “Publish” for the very first time on this blog.
I didn’t have any big plans; I just had a digital blank page, a quiet need to translate what I was feeling into words, and a handful of poems I was brave enough to set free into the world. Sixteen years later, this little corner of WordPress has become the steady witness to my life.
When I first started writing here, I used line breaks and stanzas to figure out who I was. Poetry became the lens through which I processed everything: the sharp edges of heartbreak, the quiet magic of ordinary Saturday mornings, the grief of letting things go, and the gentle beauty of starting over. Over time, the space evolved. I moved from guarded, highly structured verses posted late at night to open-hearted, inspiring thoughts, learning to share not just the art, but the unpolished human behind it.
What I never expected when I began was the incredible community that would gather here. Along the way, this blog gave me some of the most profound, beautiful friendships of my life. People across oceans and time zones became confidants, creative soulmates, and constant sources of warmth. We met in the comment sections, exchanged long emails, shared our own stanzas, and held space for each other through life’s biggest moments. Sharing vulnerability online can feel scary, but the friends who walked through the door this blog opened made every single risk worth taking.
There is something deeply beautiful about keeping a personal blog for nearly two decades. It teaches you that slow creation still matters. It reminds you that writing isn’t about chasing viral metrics; it’s about genuine connection. It’s about that one message from a friend saying, “I felt this exact same way, but I didn’t have the words for it until now.”
If you’ve been here since the early days, thank you for growing with me. If you’re one of the dear friends I’ve met through these pages, thank you for sticking by my side. And if you just stumbled upon this space, welcome; I’m so glad you found your way here. Thank you for reading my poetry, for holding space for my heart, and for proving that sharing vulnerable things on the internet can lead to lifelong connection.
Here’s to the next chapter, the next stanza, and the next blank page.
All my love,
Jennifer

12 years here!
Wow! My own space here for 12 years. 12 incredible years here! Holy fuck! Met some incredible people, including my best friend Christopher. Thank you for your true friendship, it’s been such an honor to even know you. You’re just such a beautiful human and more of what this world needs. Honestly, there are many here who I consider to be great friends and to know them outside of WP has been such a fulfilling thing in my life. I love you guys, I mean that.
I’ve lost a lot here too. Not just in the blog world but in my own, some are just more devastating than others in many ways. I’ve cried too many times, laughed, loved so much, grown up here really. Life has been hard, it’s been wonderful, heartbreaking, incredible, trying and fun, but I’m still here. Writing along. Thanks for being on this journey with me. I hope to be here another 12 with you all.
Thank you all for being on this journey with me. A journey I started a long time ago and hope to continue to share a part of my soul with you all. Much love!

Hidden Secrets – A Collaboration
Had the extreme pleasure of writing again with my best friend Christopher. It’s been such an honor to have been able to write so much with him lately.
Please go check out his blog https://divingdeepwithchristopher.wordpress.com give him some love and follow along on his journey.

you begin
to rake
your aching
fingers
the anticipation
burning
slowly
working its way
towards my
warm soul
electric heat
finally
reaches inside
of my desire
caressing all the
hidden secrets
of my soul
your love fills me
gliding through
the shadows
of every part
of my being
every inch
every seam
of my deepest flesh
your lingering
obsession
Is only now
my lingering question
of when will you
reveal these
hidden secrets
to me
that only you
can see
all over again?
Everything
when I look
into your eyes
I know
I just know
that you are everything
Hush
hush baby
please don’t
say a word
let the secrets
of the night
fill you
quietness falls
upon my lips
the bitter sweetness
of this moment
is all
I can taste
curtains closed
darkness finally
consumes me
and the dreams
they come
one by one
I allow
the silence
to have its space
between these
four walls
hush now
don’t say a word
The pages in between
you’re a book
I’ve never seen
I want to
read your truth
line by line
each letter
and every syllable
as your soul
bleeds upon
all the pages
in between
Words
they caress
the battered chords
that make up
my being
slowly strumming
my every curve
every solid line
they drip like liquid
down into
the deepest part
of my core
your words
collect
like raindrops
and fill
my once
empty soul
Echo
somewhere in the
quiet corridors
of my heart
your whispers
still echo
through every beat
