when I think
of you
the words
I love you
could never
be enough
when I think
of you
the words
I love you
could never
be enough
if only
every scar
was visible
to see
maybe
just maybe
you would
understand me
Thank you Christopher for adding your lovely words to this! Let’s work together again soon!

to know
you wouldn’t
have chosen me
is devastating
because
I chose you
all along
Happy weekend my creative souls.
I hope that in this very moment, in this very existence here upon this earth, that you all are grateful for today, for now. Life is only but a blink of an eye, it’s over before we even realize. I know at times we can get too stuck in the past and worry about the future (I’m guilty of this too) but the past is done and the future isn’t here. We need to be right here in this very moment. The right now. Make today the best that you can. Be kind to others and most importantly, be kind to yourself.
To all those battling addictions, mental illnesses, and all the other demons. I see you. You’re not alone. I SEE YOU.

when I look
into your eyes
I know
I just know
that you are everything
poetry is
the ache
that burns
beneath her skin
the fire
that fills
her lungs
entirely
hidden from
the world
until the beautiful
poet in her
could no longer
breathe
she gasped
and it spilled
freely
across these pages
I don’t know if I’ll ever get “use” to you being gone. The day replays, the pain is relived. You were here one day and gone the next. Just gone. No goodbye, just gone. It just doesn’t seem fair.
Each holiday, each birthday, each vacation, each special occasion, just doesn’t feel the same anymore. It will never be the same again.
Far away from where you are, I miss you. I wish you were still here, not just a memory upon this earth.

if we never share
a physical space
within our time
deep within
the shadows
of my soul
the words
that bleed
from my pen
the craving
that’s hidden
in the depths
of my being
belong to you
irrevocably
and forever
you
Yes, today as we gather around with family and friends to share a meal, don’t forget there’s more.
Share in the memories that are being made with the ones you love. The laughs, the smiles and the love that fills your houses. That is what makes family. Be thankful for NOW, these very moments.
Happy Thanksgiving (those who celebrate it) to my extend blog family. Chris and your family, I hope you all have a wonderful day too! I’m grateful for all of you here!
