with every passing thought 
I find myself tracing the silhouette 
of your existence in my mind
you’ve become a part 
of my inner landscape
a part of the walls
that I am confined to 
and with every tick tock
it brings me right back 
to where we first met
I close my eyes 
and I can feel you
rush through my skin 
and penetrate my soul 
again
and 
again
you stroke the very depths
of my bones
weaving your fingers
gently through my chaos
calming my storm
and in this moment
nothing else matters

a heartbeat suspended in time
every second 
feels like an eternity
every heartbeat a promise to you 
every moment stretches 
aching for the warmth of your smile
and here I am waiting
to hear the melody 
of your laughter
to feel the softness 
of your touch 
to taste the love
upon your lips
the world feels incomplete 
my soul longing for yours
and until you come back
this is where I’ll be
waiting

through my mind 
each thought paints a vivid portrait 
of your laughter 
your smile
your touch 
they dance like fireflies 
illuminating the corners of my heart 
your essence lingers 
through the depths of my soul 

and in this moment
distance fades 
and time seems to stop
because all I want to do
is catch my breath
for just one second
and dream of you

the anchor that steadies me 
when I feel adrift 
when I am with you 
I am my truest self
unmasked and unafraid
you have become 
the very essence of my existence 
entwined with my heart and soul 
your happiness 
becomes my purpose
your pain 
becomes my burden 
and to love you completely
is beyond anything 
I could have imaged 
that transcends time and space

For all my ladies, all my warriors, and all my queens – this is an ode to you. Yes, YOU!

be confident
be strong
never bow down
don’t be defined by anyone 
don’t allow your past to determine your path

and when someone tells you all the things “they think” you cannot be, you keep pushing forward and make it known that you cannot be stopped, you WILL NOT be stopped

let others see the fire in your skin and the crown’s power upon your head. You are bathed in sunlight for a reason. You are right here and right now for a reason. We need to be building each other up and seeing the true beauty in ourselves and others 

never seek the approval of others, for it’s not needed as you already know your worth

so, all my beautiful ladies, this is for you. I believe in you, I stand with you, and I am part of you
