there is something
about the sound
of the ocean
that makes me
want to forget
the world
lay on my bed
and confess

This vast space

that fills
the capacity
of my lungs
in the infinite desire
that consumes
every ounce

and now

both awake

I close my eyes

forgetting for a moment
everything in the world

Delicate
and even as time
slips slowly through
my fingers
and all that I become

an echo of a song replays and thoughts of you rush through my blood taking me back to the warmth of that August night silent fingers intertwined with mine and your kiss felt timeless it was a brief moment inside the words of poetry we shared that will forever be etched inside my soul

in daydreams
such sweet bliss
as I fall
even further
and for a moment
it seemed
to last forever
and I woke
a different person
To be with you
we met in between
the silence
of the universe
where day
fades into night
and the darkness
holds all the poetry
