the early morning
collects upon each
satisfied layer
once in dreams
now awaits
the sweet kiss
of the sun
as it begins
to awaken

Sealed fate
words so
illusive
they bring me
to my knees
gripped by
distance so
I can’t breathe
the truth speaks
to me
so loudly
but time
and love
have already
sealed
my fate
Secrets of the night
bitter memories
come rushing
through my flesh
as I grasp
for air
to fill my lungs
silent screams
find their way
out into
darkness
where I stand
waiting
for night
to come again
Layers
beneath
the warmth
I hide
my bruised memories
covering up
all the layers
of their secrets
forgetting
their existence
at least for tonight
