Poison – A Collaboration

I stare at
these old memories
packed away inside
broken picture frames
all the years
of feeling unloved
flood my veins
chronic hate
fills these eyes
and I grow cold as ice
each time
I stare intently inside
at the pain of yesterday
it somehow always
states the case
where I’m the one
to blame
nothing will ever
feel the same
until I drive out this hate
and cast this poison away
Silence
it’s the silence between us
that says everything
that we can’t
and how
at any given moment
you and I exist
in a thousand different places
it’s in these moments
that I wish you were here
to undress me
with your words
and caress my fragile heart

the very life of you
feeling the rush
of euphoria
through my veins
taking me to a place
that I’ve never been
and I know
in that moment
that I love you
with all that I am
the very essence of me
caught up
in every breath
that fills your lungs
Embers
touch me
with the embers
of your existence
and let me write you
into every poem
that fills these pages
so that you can exist
everywhere that I am
This vast space

of my eyes
that see
the very depths
of this vast space
in the truth
of the stars
that fill
the nights sky

that fills
the capacity
of my lungs
in the infinite desire
that consumes
every ounce
of my soul

in the here
and now
in my dreams
both awake
and asleep
I find you
in everything

I would climb
inside of you
gently
laying upon your depths
slowly stroking your bones
caressing your veins
and kissing
all the delicate ways
your body moves
on the inside

you feel like

dancing quietly
under my flesh
slowly moving
to the rhythm
of my beating heart
I close my eyes
and let the thunderstorms
rush through my fingertips
She is perfect
she is beautiful
unlike anything
you’ve ever known
and makes you feel
like everything
a gentle breeze
upon your lips
the warmth of summer
kissing your skin
the sweet sound
of her music
floating through you
and resting
upon your bones
and her love
her love
is so beautiful
that it fills
all the spaces
between your soul
and you know
in that moment
that she is just perfect
even in all her
imperfections
