Happy 250th Birthday America

*Picture is my own*

Happy Independence Day.

Today we celebrate the freedoms that unite us and remember those whose courage made them possible. As the fireworks light the sky, may we also remember the quieter freedoms we often overlook: the freedom to heal, to hope, to love, and to begin again.

Wishing you a safe and meaningful Fourth of July. I hope today reminds you that you are loved, valued, appreciated, and that every new day is another chance to live freely and wholeheartedly.

  1. I wished I had some exciting or insightful prose about it. I really do. I wanted to feel patriotic, and I do in my way about my own private ideas of America. But they’re so far removed from the America we have that’s lost, maybe by design, any sense of actual, practicable self-identity and respect.
I try to keep my disappointment in the now to myself in my relations and focus on the glorious was and could be. That. And keeping the ladies in my life as pampered as can be swimming in treats and seconds.
    Did you have a full/filling J4?
