at times
you feel like poetry
soft and gentle 
like the beating
of my heart
or the soft whispers
of a summer breeze
upon my hair
but there are times
that I can feel you
flooding my veins
like a storm
ready to burst
from my skin

I remember a time
that we let the light
of a thousand galaxies 
rush through our bodies

and even now
when I close my eyes
and get lost
in that August night
I can still feel you
all through me

just know
in between those 
fleeting moments
of euphoria
that your soul
danced with mine
to a melody
that only
you and I
could hear
