Happiness

True happiness is found when you look within and see the beauty that has always been there. It’s in the way your heart beats, your mind dreams, and your soul shines. When you embrace your own worth, you realize that happiness isn’t something to find

it’s something you’ve always carried, quietly glowing from within.

Listen

there were so many times
I held my words back
thinking maybe
they would matter to you
thinking you’d hear them and understand
but you never did
now all I have
are the words I never said
the things I thought
might change your mind
but you never cared enough to listen
I wish I had said more
not to win your attention
but to free myself from the silence
maybe then
I would have realized sooner
that it wasn’t my words you needed
it was your own willingness to listen

House of secrets

in the house of secrets
silence was its own language
the walls whispered stories
only shadows understood
and every locked door
guarded a piece of someone
you’d never fully know
we grew up there
speaking in half-truths
and learning to walk lightly
love was there
though it wore a mask
soft enough to hold you
but always just out of reach
by the time we left
we carried the secrets with us
stitched into our skin like old scars
we never spoke of them
but in every glance
we knew

Thank you

Unbroken lines

Photo is my own

a steady rhythm
of black and white
each stark and silent
whispered tales of contrast
light against dark
empty against full
together they shaped a boundary
yet held glimpses of something beyond
in their beautiful simplicity
the wall bore the weight of unity
a monochrome harmony in quiet
unbroken lines

The ghost of time

time is a silent thief
slipping through unnoticed cracks
it steals moments before we realize their worth
turning laughter into echoes
and memories into shadows
we grasp at its passing
but it slips like sand through fingers
leaving behind only the ghost of what was
what once seemed endless
is now a faint whisper
reminding us that nothing stays
and time takes everything

My reflection

I catch glimpses of myself
little fragments in the mirror
I see someone
both familiar and strange
the face holds stories
some clear
some blurred
and others yet to be told
there’s a comfort
in the known lines
a restlessness
in the unfamiliar shadows
my reflection changes as I do
revealing not just who I’ve been
but hints of who I might become
every single glance
asks me the same silent question

are you the person you thought you would be
