Goodbye

in the quiet echoes of goodbye
I learned the art of releasing
like autumn leaves
surrendering to the wind
I let go
feeling the weight of memories
gently flutter away
in that bittersweet moment
I found solace in the unraveling
of our intertwined hearts
and the weight of a thousand unspoken truths
rushed through me
as I whispered goodbye
to the only love I’ve ever known

  1. Aww, Jenn, this poem really touched my heart. Letting go is always so tough, although sometimes it just has to be done in order to move on. I realise it is a very painful business, though. I send you love 💕 and comforting hugs 🤗, Ellie Xxx 💓🥰💕

    • Awww, Ellie! Thank you so much. Yes, unfortunately, it has to be done at times. I hope you’re well, Ellie. I’ll be taking time later to catch up on reading blogs, including yours. Much love to you 🥰❤️💕

      • I understand where you’re coming, Jenn. I’ll look forward to your visit to my blog. Thank you. Much love to you, Also Xxx 💓🥰💕

  2. I so love this and the topic too! Letting go is really hard to do, for sure! Funny, you think you let go and then some random memory surfaces and old feeling resurface. You know you’ve let go but then again you know there are still thing hiding in your heart! Bellissimo, My Dear, Bellissimo!

      • I so loved this. The heart has it’s own ways of dealing with things that it doesn’t always share with one’s soul!! I think letting go is one of those things! Reminds me of a scene from Dr. Zhivago where he is telling Laura that he isn’t going to see her again, do you understand and she shakes her head yes, and then he asks her – do you believe me and she shakes her head No! The heart kinda does that to the soul.

I think the truth is that the fingerprints from anyone who has ever held our heart in their hands always remain.
        Chuck 😊😁💕🌹
