in the quiet corners of my heart
I kept a flame burning
a tender light
that belonged solely to you
it danced and flickered
casting shadows of hope
across the walls of my soul
illuminating a path
for only you and I
but in your words
I felt a distance
a reflection of a love
not quite the same
it was as if our hearts
were ships passing in the night
destined for different shores
and I guess the hardest part
of this is learning to accept
that not all loves are the same
Beautiful, sad and true.
It sure is… thanks Nicole.
It gets better…
Indeed, it always somehow works out… I hope you’re doing well.
Yeah. Well…enjoy your week
you do the same friend
This sad poem is both beautiful and authentic. I really like it, and I also love the different take on romance you have used here. Take care, Jenn. Xx 💓💐💓

You are so welcome, Jenn. I am, thankfully, feeling a bit better today 😊. Xx 💖
A powerful Love Poem, My Dear!!! The truth is not always sweet – sometimes it’s “Bittersweet”! Bellissimo, CC, Bellissimo!

OH THOSE PASSING SHIPS AND UNLOCKED LIPS!
Unrequited love can be really hard to deal with sometimes. But the sadness dissipates with time ❤️
Ahhh, yes, you’re so right. Thank you sweet friend ❤
Not all loves are the same is a hard lesson to learn. I’ve felt that sting time and time again.
Yes, it hurts.
Sending you a giant hug ❤️
Much needed right now, thank you ❤️
