I painted you a summer
in a pretty shade of orange
where time
comes in waves
and breaks
the silence of aurora
as dreams are tucked away
in our pockets
and the sun
is the perfect hue of yellow
upon this canvas
I compose
all the pieces of me
inside this picture-perfect frame
