and here I am
inside this vast space
of the unknown
watching the stars
shine so brightly
I wait
each and every night
within the darkness
hoping you’ll find
your way to me
even if only
in dreams
and here I am
inside this vast space
of the unknown
watching the stars
shine so brightly
I wait
each and every night
within the darkness
hoping you’ll find
your way to me
even if only
in dreams
What a beautiful poem Jennifer! Superbly written!
Thank you so very much Dominic! I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
My pleasure Jennifer!
I read this thrice, deliberate. Lovely 💕
Hey Dalton! Thank you so much, so nice to see you!
You’re quite welcome! And you also. I’ve been busy…contemplative…and walking my pooch. You seem well 🙂
I am well. I hope being contemplative has been going good for you. I know sometimes that can be challenging. 🙂
Haha. At times, however, it is a comfortable place of delight.
I’m glad it is 🙂
There is a lot to be said for simplicity in messages. I don’t begrudge those who code their poetry more, as long as they are willing to explain it. I am no fan of stuck-up poets who sneer at someone for writing simple messages. Poetry isn’t a matter of one way and only one way, but diversity. I love diversity in poetry. This has a very universal message. Great work.
Thank you so very much for your wonderful and very thoughtful comment. I love the diversity in poetry and to take it further, I love the diversity in life in general. I truly appreciate your comment and your work!
I take Visa/Mastercard and pocket lint. Your choice. In all seriousness I like your poem. And thank you too.
I probably do have some lint in my pocket 😄
and, you’re so very welcome too!
Have I told you lately how much I love, love your poems/words??? I do!!
Bellissimo, Sweet Poet, Bellissimo!!!

Hmmm, maybe once or twice 😊 Thank you, dear poet! 💕🌹
Oh My, I will try and not be so forgetful in the future! 😍
haha yes indeed!
The longing in this poem feels so intense and familiar. Lovely writing.
Thank you, this was an intense writing for me
