Red like fire
a dance like this
pouty black lips
the nights only kiss
Flirting with fear
I fall to my knees
I hear the laughter
over and over again
pounding like thunder
filling my lonely head
You bring me
to the edge of my soul
and back again
broken but captivated
I’m under your spell
fulfilling a need
I close my eyes
but struggle to see
I hear you softly whisper
cold chills
run down to my very core
frozen
I await more
the lies fall from your lips
one by one
as the clock strikes
its final hour
I beg the night to fade
from darkness
to a shade of grey
the story is never told
if the words are never written
We only dance in silence
