it’s like the sun
catching the ocean at dawn
just a brief glint of warmth
where I thought only shadows would linger
in a crowded world
where moments drift like passing ships
there’s this thought of you
anchored quietly in my mind
it’s where you exist
just between each breath
and where I hope you’ll stay
long after the last one

Storyteller
with her ink upon these pages
verses flow like whispers
carrying the scars that she hides
through her poetry
the world comes alive
every line a window into her soul
every letter a heartbeat
her story unfolds
not in the bounds of prose
but in the delicate dance
of meter and metaphor
painting emotions more vividly
than any narrative ever could
and in the end
the poem itself becomes the storyteller
a timeless echo of her life
Hurricane Milton
I hope all my Florida friends stay safe during this time. If you’re in Florida, please let me know where you are so I can check in on you.
Much love

Awakening within
your fingers linger at the edges
stirring warmth beneath the surface
awakening a quiet hum
that spreads in waves
the rhythm is gentle
yet it pulls me in
coaxing my body to respond
to arch into the subtle invitation
time stretches with every brush
every stroke until the air itself
seems to thrum
with the unspoken tension
between touch and longing
Rainy Days
oh how these rainy days
remind me of you
where the warmth of your smile
feels like home
your lavender words
are a sweet love poem
that replays in my mind
and the touch of your fingers
gently trace the worn edges
of my soul
in that very moment
you stole pieces of my existence
and tucked them away
in a million different places
inside the universe
for only you and I
Pieces of you
losing someone special
is like the sky losing its brightest star
the world continues to turn
but the light is dimmer
and the nights are longer
your absence echoes
in every familiar place
a quiet reminder of a love
that lingers in the spaces
they once filled
time slowly moves forward
but a piece of their heart stays behind
holding onto the moments we once shared
Summer Days
on long summer days
when the sun lingers
like a warm embrace
love feels infinite
its gentle touch is like the breeze
that dances on my skin
every glance and whisper
seems to stretch forever
melding into the slow rhythm
of the season
love becomes a sun-drenched promise
where moments are endless
basking in the eternal warmth
of each other’s presence
Into the twilight
I stand at the edge of our memories
where our love once flourished
like wildflowers in spring
your laughter
now a ghostly whisper
dancing in the wind
letting you go wasn’t a single act
but a series of small deaths
each one a farewell
to the moments we shared
and now I can only watch
as you fade into the twilight
only a silhouette
of who I thought you were

Exhale
in the quiet moments
before the world awakes
I can feel you
your presence lingers
delicate and soft
like a whisper carried by the wind
each inhale draws you closer
and with every exhale
you become a part of me
in the stillness between moments
and the infinity that stretches
beyond comprehension
I am still yours
