Hidden

there are pieces of you scattered
in the quiet corners of the world
hidden in old letters
tucked between the pages
of a book you once loved
lingering in the scent of rain
on a warm spring day
some are in the way you laugh
when no one’s listening
others in the soft glance you give
when you think no one’s watching
they are fragments
small and delicate
yet they make up the whole of you
sometimes you catch a glimpse of them
inside your memories
like forgotten treasures
and for a moment
you feel like you’ve found yourself again

  1. So Loved this poem!!! This line really reached out to me
    “fragments
    small and delicate
yet they make up the whole of you”

Really inspired me to write this!
    Thank you Sweet Lady

    A UNIQUE ME
    By Charles Robert Lindholm

    tiny mosaic pieces
    Small and delicate fragments
of our past memories and moments
    shape us and makes us
    what we are now

    pieces of light and dark
    the colorful and bland
    the joyful and sad
    the love and the heartaches
    dreams and accomplishments
    fears and faith
    the new and the old
    and all the other influences
and lessons we’ve learned from life
    combined and intricately fitted together
during our rings around the sun
    into a unique me
and into the whole of you, too
