losing someone special
is like the sky losing its brightest star
the world continues to turn
but the light is dimmer
and the nights are longer
your absence echoes
in every familiar place
a quiet reminder of a love
that lingers in the spaces
they once filled
time slowly moves forward
but a piece of their heart stays behind
holding onto the moments we once shared
Bellissimo, My Dear! I love the way your words always reach out and touch my heart.
Loved the lines
“a quiet reminder of a love
that lingers in the spaces
they once filled”

Thank you so much! I hope you’re well. I haven’t forgotten about putting together some audio of these poems. Sending love from Florida!
Yes, all is well here! How about with you??? You are so sweet to still be willing to do some audios of some of your poems – when you get the time!!
Hope you aren’t going to be in the path of that approaching Florida!

Very true.
Thank you, love
It’s the hardest thing to go through. Sad and wonderfully expressed.
Thank you, love ❤️
You’re welcome!
This poem touched my heart. My grandmother passed a few years ago and today I saw a cardinal bouncing along the new pile of sticks from a wind blown storm. He reminded me of her, they were her favorite bird. Now reading this, I think she has been looking down on me lately. Thank you 🙂
Oh, wow, that’s beautiful. I’d like to think the ones we’ve lost are looking down on us. Seems so tragic to think otherwise. Thank you so much for your kind words 🙂
