where leaves whispered secrets 
to the breeze
their love blossomed
like the final hues 
of a setting sun 
she with eyes 
reflecting the warmth of harvest
met him beneath the old oak 
where the air was infused 
with the scent of fallen leaves 
and the promise of forever
lingered upon their lips
