I slowly freeze
the moments
of you and I
one by one
capturing the memories
inside my mind
before they rush by
we are only
but a fleeting
second in time
only a blink
of an eye
this is what
I will hold on to
before you and I
turn to dust
and vanish
into the universe
I wish
the stars
were mine
to give
I’d pick them
one by one
just for you
until
the sky
were empty
let me
weave my poetry
in between the gaps
of your heartbeat
and seep into
the depths
of your soul
I hope that when you look into the mirror, that you remind yourself of what you are and what you are not.
You are not the mistakes of your past, or the bad circumstances that have happened to you. You are not what society says you should be. You are not the opinion of others.
You are strength and courage. You are to be seen, to be heard and to be respected. You are a special. You are the most beautiful soul on this earth. Don’t settle for less than you deserve. Be confident in your own skin, be worthy, because you are. I SEE YOU.

every inch
of my soul
peeling back
all my layers
and caressing
my beating heart
with your fingers
only then
can I be
truly naked
there are moments
between time
inside the seconds
that slowly tick by
where the world
just stops
and there you are
the beating
of my heart
the other part
of my soul
and for that moment
a hundred lifetimes

my veins
every fiber
that makes up
